A Note from Raul Sandoval, Principal

As we settle into the school year, students and staff have been working hard at learning classroom routines, understanding grade level expectations, and adjusting to academic life.  I encourage you to speak with your child about the importance of completing their work, staying attentive, and understanding that learning is a lifelong process!

Caught with Character (CWC)

We will continue with our CWC program this year.  For our new families, CWC is an initiative that recognizes students that exhibit good character.  Each month teachers “catch” students being respectful, helpful, generous, kind, or demonstrating other positive behaviors.  They submit a slip with the student’s name to the office.  We place it in the CWC box and at the end of the month ten students are selected at random.  The students then receive a medal, a certificate of recognition, and a letter from me to take home to you.  I look forward to recognizing your child when they demonstrate good character throughout the year.

Health Office 💗

A friendly reminder that Noecker requires that you should not send your child to school if they present with the following:

  • Fever in the past 24 hours. Do not give “Tylenol” before school, in an attempt to “get through the day”. Must be fever free for 24 hours before returning to school without the use of fever-reducing medicine.

  • Flu-like symptoms - Must be fever free for 24 hours before returning to school without the use of fever-reducing medicine.

  • Vomiting and/or diarrhea in the past 24 hours - Must be illness-free for 24 hours before returning to school.

  • Bad cold, with a very runny nose or sore throat with a bad cough, especially if it has kept the child awake at night or cannot participate in school.

  • Unknown rashes- Must be seen by a physician to be identified and return to school only if the student is not contagious with a doctor’s note stating this with the diagnosis.

  • Strep Throat- Must be on an antibiotic for 24 hours before returning to school.
