A Note from Raul Sandoval, Principal

Last Wednesday we held our Veterans Appreciation Ceremony.  It was a moving ceremony that reminded us of the contributions of our servicemen and servicewomen.  I think our Veterans Day Committee, staff, and students did a great job and we hope our veterans know how much they are appreciated.

As you read on, don’t forget Noecker’s participation in Table to Table.  You can visit our dedicated page by clicking here .  This program will continue to run and we hope you will help us reach our goal!

G&T Problem Solving Event

Today the Essex County Steering Committee for Gifted & Talented Education held its annual Problem Solving Convocation at Noecker. Students in grades 5 & 6 worked in teams to solve various types of problems. Some of the problems had to do with math, science, Greek mythology, sports, words, and much more! Seven districts from Essex County were represented at the event: Roseland,  Caldwell-West Caldwell, Essex Fells, Cedar Grove, Belleville, West Orange, and Fairfield. The teams were composed of 4-5 students each from a different district. There were awards given for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place. Two of our Roseland students placed!  Abhinav Konathala was on the 2nd place team and Delilah Rasko was on the 3rd place team. Congratulations to all participants! A big thank you to the Noecker G&T 6th graders for helping organize and run the event with Ms. Clarke.  Last, but not least, thank you to Ms. Clarke for organizing and hosting this event!
