A Note from Raul Sandoval, Principal

With less than 30 days left of school we have been incredibly busy! Read on to see what’s in store in the coming weeks as we stare down the finish line, June 16th!

Summer Fun & Enrichment

If you have not registered for our Summer Fun & Enrichment classes, please check your email inbox!  There is still time to register your child for our July program.

Moving Up Ceremony

Our Moving Up Ceremony for Grade 6 is scheduled for June 14th at 9:30 am.  Please be on the lookout for more specific information in the coming weeks.

Staff Appreciation Week

Thank you to the HSA and parent volunteers for putting together an amazing staff appreciation week.  Our staff was treated to door decorations, delicious food, treats, and more!

Dress Code & Cell phones

As the weather gets warmer, attire changes.  With that change comes the challenge of students adhering to our school dress code.  Although the guidelines apply to all students, most of our challenges are with 5th and 6th graders.  Below is our dress code, which can be found on page 20 of the Student-Parent Handbook .

“School attire should not be distracting or unsafe. All students’ midsections should be covered. Short shorts, spaghetti straps, or tank tops that are too tight, cut too low, are too short, or have giant holes in the arms (too big) are not permitted in school. Shorts must be fingertip length. Flip flops are not permitted. For safety reasons, physical education classes may have additional requirements.”

Another area of concern are electronic devices .  Our rule is off and away; this applies to cell phones and smart watches.  We discussed this with students as well.

Please make sure to review the above with your child!

Foster Care Awareness Month

In collaboration with Parents as Champions (PAC), we wanted to recognize Foster Care Awareness Month .  The Roseland PAC Team & Noecker are teaming up to help Ava's Closet, a 501(c)3 that helps children in foster care.   Foster families normally only have an hour or two notice prior to a child arriving at their home. Often that child will bring very little with them. Through your donations Ava's Closet will be able to provide First Day Comfort Bags filled with clothing, toys, books, and more to help families welcome a child into their home. Ava's closet helps foster children aged from infants to teens.  We will have a box outside the main office for the month of May to collect donations.  Please help if you can. Thank you!

Message from the Health Office

A friendly reminder that Noecker requires that you should not send your child to school if they present with the following:

  • Fever in the past 24 hours. Do not give “Tylenol” before school, in an attempt to “get through the day”. Must be fever free for 24 hours before returning to school without the use of fever-reducing medicine.

  • Flu-like symptoms - Must be fever free for 24 hours before returning to school without the use of fever-reducing medicine.

  • Vomiting and/or diarrhea in the past 24 hours - Must be illness-free for 24 hours before returning to school.

  • Bad cold, with a very runny nose or sore throat with a bad cough, especially if it has kept the child awake at night or cannot participate in school.

  • Unknown rashes- Must be seen by a physician to be identified and return to school only if the student is not contagious with a doctor’s note stating this with the diagnosis.

  • Strep Throat- Must be on an antibiotic for 24 hours before returning to school.

  • Conjunctivitis- Must be on prescription eye drops 24 hours before returning to school.

Employment Opportunities

Noecker is seeking qualified candidates to fill open positions.  Most notably, we do have instructional aide positions still available at this time! Please visit the employment opportunities section of our website by clicking here !
