A Note from Raul Sandoval, Principal

Today, the halls of Noecker were filled with music as our students performed their winter-themed songs.  As always, they did a wonderful job; kudos to Mrs. Havrilla and Mr. Surdyn for their work in planning a great series of performances.  For our last performance, please join us this evening for Chorus, 4th/5th/6th Orchestra and 5th/6th Band, at 6:30 pm.  We hope to see you there.  

Gifted & Talented 

Several of our students participated in the 2023 New Jersey Association for Gifted Children Student Art and Writing Contest. The contest theme was "The Dream Team: Families + Students + Educators Strengthening Gifted Education."  Congratulations to our very own Georgina Tanedo who won FIRST PLACE in the grades 3-5 division! She is also the only student from Essex County to win in any division! 

Her work with the other winning entries will be on display at www.njagc.org in March, which is Gifted Student Month in New Jersey! Winning entries will also be displayed at the annual NJAGC Conference on March 17, 2023. Way to go Georgina! We are proud of you! 

Kindergarten Registration & Open House (2023-2024)

Roseland parents and guardians are invited to attend our Lester C. Noecker School Kindergarten Open House Tuesday, February 7, 2023 at 7:00PM in the Multi-Purpose Room. This is a great opportunity to learn more about our Kindergarten program. The snow date is Thursday, February 9, 2023. To be eligible for Kindergarten, a child must live in Roseland and be five years of age on or before October 1, 2023.  Parents/Guardians are invited to download and complete the Kindergarten registration packet on our website at www.roselandnjboe.org .  Click on Kindergarten.  To enroll your child in Kindergarten, please return the completed registration packet along with all the required documents to Mrs. Catherine Overbeck. Also be sure to reach out to make sure she has you on her list for the upcoming year.  Please don’t hesitate to reach out if you have any questions at all.  She can be reached at coverbeck@roselandnjboe.org
