Exciting news again! We participated in NJCGTP's "To the Moon and Beyond Challenge." Our G&T students created videos explaining one item they think should be left on the moon in 2024. They had to explain how the item represented the USA and the 21st century. There were over 200 entries! Kevin Zhao (6th grade) got honorable mention! Lev Gordon and Deanna Fernandez (6th grade) placed in the top 10 and won amazon gift cards! Congratulations!

We hope you are still enjoying our Masked Reader challenge! This week, will you be able to figure out who Frenchie the French Fry is?  Listen to episode 3 to make you guess!

Hard copies WILL BE provided (& reminders on Sundays)! Please complete ONE FORM each week for each child.

On the form , you will need to check to verify:

  • that you are aware of the travel guidelines and that your child has NOT traveled within the last 14 days.

  • that your child has not been exposed to a positive individual or someone waiting for test results.

  • that your child does NOT have COVID symptoms.

  • and then sign and date.

Thank you for your continued support and diligence! Please see the form or the COVID-19 FAQ & Dashboard for additional information.

TRAVEL   Our Spring Break begins Friday, April 2nd with our return to school on Monday, April 12th. Our DOH recommendation continues to be a 14-day quarantine for travel out of the immediate area (New York, Connecticut, Pennsylvania, and Delaware). *AT THIS TIME* Quarantine after travel (regardless of vaccines or previously positive status) is still anticipated.

Please let us know if you are traveling and if your child(ren) will be quarantining so that we can be prepared to support them.

Please also be cognizant of hosting guests who travel and pay special attention to COVID symptoms.

We are truly counting on our community once again!

A Note from Rich Celebre, Supervisor of Special Services

Thank you to all of the parents and staff members who were able to attend last week’s SEPAC workshop with Ms. Monique Dujue Wilson from SPAN . The workshop was a great opportunity to review parental rights, the special education process, and continue to develop an environment for families to come together to feel supported. For those that were unable to attend, the presentation and resources shared will continue to be accessible at any time on the SPAN Resources page of our Special Services Google Site

This Sunday, March 21st, is World Down Syndrome Day and to help raise awareness we are asking students to participate in the Lots of Socks campaign by having a crazy sock day this Friday, March 19th .  For more information, please refer to the attached flyer!

Finally, student progress reports are being finalized and will be forthcoming so, please, keep an eye out in the mail!
