A Note from Raul Sandoval, Principal

This morning we held our 6th grade graduation ceremony.  We could not have asked for more perfect weather!  Congratulations to our students and best of luck in middle school!  We are so glad that we were able to have a proper farewell.

Since this is the last Notification of the year, I want to thank all of our families for the warm welcome and continued support throughout the year.  Despite the pandemic, you have helped make it a great first year for me at Noecker.  I look forward to September and wish you a healthy and restful summer.

As we close out the last week of school help us support our Summer Spirit Week by participating in our two remaining themed days.  We also would like to share their Noecker Cares Summer Newsletter by clicking here .

The Genesis Parent Portal reopens June 18th at 4:00 PM for you to view your child’s report card!

A Note from Deanne Somers, Superintendent

Congratulations, Families! YOU DID IT! As we close out the end of the unprecedented 2020-2021 school year, just remind yourself of Anne Lamott’s words and seek opportunities to recharge and celebrate all that has been accomplished!

“Almost everything will work again if you unplug it for a few minutes…Including you.”

The next Roseland Board of Education Meeting will be held virtually on Thursday, June 17th ( click here for directions ). At our June meeting, the Board is asked to approve numerous annual renewals as we gear up for the next school year! We are SO excited to begin planning for 2021-2022 and optimistic it will look very close to normal. *fingers crossed*

While we await updated NJDOH/NJDOE guidance for September 1st, we have updated part of our Reopening Plan - the Safe Reopening Plan - as required to utilize ARP ESSER federal funding. We were eligible for over $180k for learning acceleration, mental health, and health and safety purposes. *The Safe Reopening Plan is based upon the 2020-2021 Restart and Reopening Plan (The Road Back)  and is temporary pending NJDOE/NJDOH updates; it is subject to revision prior to September 2021* We fully anticipate updated guidance prior to our September 2021 opening day which will be communicated as soon as it is available. All documents can be found on our website!

A Note from Richard Celebre, Supervisor of Special Services

The last Wednesday of the school year is here! I want to take this opportunity to thank everyone for all of their hard work, flexibility, and commitment to supporting all of our students this past school year. Regardless of the challenges and hurdles we may have faced along the way, the team (which includes you, the parents!) stayed committed to providing meaningful learning opportunities. Thank you, all.

I am also going to attach the document which provides general information regarding this year’s Extended School Year (ESY) program one more time.  Please, send your child to ESY with their homeroom assignment letter on the first few days so that they have it with them while they are getting their ESY routines down!

Be on the lookout: The Child Study Team is reviewing case management caseloads and if any changes in case manager changes are going to occur, your new case manager will be in contact once those caseloads are finalized.

Upcoming Event: The SEPAC invites you to join them on June 17th @ 7PM via Zoom for SPAN’s Roundtable: SEPAG’s Connect: Coming Together Through COVID and Beyond.

ESY and Summer Enrichment begin Tuesday, July 6th!
