A Note from Raul Sandoval, Principal

I trust you enjoyed spring break (although as a parent myself it may be less of a break having my children home!).  Now that we are back and approaching the home stretch of the school year, we have several important events and dates that are fast approaching.  

6th Grade Moving Up Ceremony and Spring Concert - Update!

This week, the administrative team discussed several of our end of year events and important dates.  Our 6th Grade Moving Up ceremony and our spring concert will now be indoors.  Please see our dates in the calendar at the bottom of this notification.  Thank you for your patience as we continue on the path to a normal school year.  Closer to the date of the events you will receive more information.  

Summer Enrichment

A Summer Enrichment letter will be sent via e-blast Friday, April 29th.  Registration for classes will also open and available via a Google form link.  Be on the lookout for that communication!

NJSLA Testing Dates

Testing for the upper grades began today for our 5th and 6th grade.  All went very smoothly and we anticipate the same as we progress through our testing dates.  Our testing dates are listed below.  Please make sure your child gets plenty of rest  

• April 27th, 29th - Grades 5&6 Math

• April 28th - No testing due to Bring Your Child to Work Day

• May 2nd, 3rd, 4th - Grades 5&6 ELA

• May 5th, 6th - Grades 3&4 Math

• May 9th, 10th, 11th - Grades 3&4 ELA

• May 16th, 17th, 18th, 19th, 20th - Make-up testing

• May 23rd, 24th - Grade 5 Science

• May 25th, 26th - Grade 5 Science, make-up testing

  Kindergarten Summer Enrichment 2022 Registration Open!  

Kindergarten Summer Enrichment Program Registration is now open!  The program will run Monday-Thursday from July 6, 2022 - July 28, 2022 (no program on Fridays). The registration deadline is May 2, 2022.  All the details are in the packet, we look forward to an awesome program with our new incoming kindergarten students!  

A Note from Dr. Richard Celebre, Director of Special Services

Happy Wednesday. Welcome back from Spring Break and welcome to the final push of the school year! Our Autism Acceptance and Awareness month is coming to a close this week and I wanted to take a moment to thank the efforts of the entire teacher committee for their work. This program has been a long standing one here at Noecker, and we have worked together to ensure that it continues to grow in the direction of being focused on building student knowledge and understanding of others.

Parent/Administration Collaboration Parent Workshop - We are excited to announce that we are currently working with the West Essex Department of Special Services to coordinate a final parent workshop for the 2021-2022 school year. This final workshop will be focused on transitioning students to the middle school , and we are hoping to include all of the sending districts. Additional information will be forthcoming, as a planning meeting is scheduled for tomorrow with West Essex!
