Good afternoon.  Below please find a summary of the key highlights from our September Board of Education meeting:

• Mr Rutzky reviewed the  TEACHNJ  regarding teacher performance and evaluation
• The Board discussed day v night concerts and will continue with K-4 during the day and 5/6/Orchestra/Band at night
• Mr Rutzky discussed partnering with the other sending districts on a demographic study and will investigate cost
• Mr Rutzky reviewed proposed signs from the cub scouts for the environmental trail behind the school
• The Board wished Mrs. Caro well in her new job and welcomed Mr. Freda as Assistant to the Business Administrator
• The Board wished Mrs. DaCosta well on her upcoming family leave and welcomed Dr. Maria Cleary as the Interim Principal
• During public comment,
  • Mr Gentile requested a review of the G&T program
  • Mr Flood, who served on the G&T committee provided information about the G&T process
  • Ms Rodriquez discussed a situation with bus drop off and her child on the first day of school
  • Mr Cinquemani discussed the snack list for parties and requested a review of the list
• The next Board meeting is scheduled for Thursday, October 10 at 7:30pm in the Noecker Media Center
