Essex County G&T Problem Solving Competition

The Essex County Gifted and Talented Committee hosted their annual Problem Solving Competition today here at Noecker! Students in grades 5&6 worked in teams to answer various types of problems. There were math problems, science problems, anagrams, greek mythology and much more! Students from Roseland, West Orange, Essex Fells, Belleville, Caldwell-West Caldwell, and Cedar Grove participated in the event. There were close to 100 students competing! There were 20 teams competing for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place. The teams were composed of students from each district. Our very own Audrey Jung in 5th grade was on the 1st place team with 135 points!

Our G&T 6th graders helped Mrs. Clarke prepare for and run the event. They each were in charge of their own station, assisting the students competing with the activities. Congratulations to all involved!
