March 4, 2026
Note from Raul Sandoval, Principal
Howdy, Noecker families! We kicked off the first week of March in true Country Western style as Read Across America Week rode into town! This year’s theme is “Lasso a Good Book!”and students and staff have transformed into book-loving cowboys and cowgirls. Even our morning announcements have a little extra twang, just like a classic Western movie. A huge tip of the hat goes to Ms. Eccleston and the Read Across America Committee for wrangling in our students’ love of reading.
We are eagerly awaiting the results of our lively “Western Book Duel” assembly featuring Rattlesnake Rules and Nobody Hugs a Cactus, read by Mr. Megaro and Mrs. Thomas. Students especially enjoyed our popular hallway Reading Trail, where they used flashlights to dive into their books. We are also grateful to our board members and West Essex Lead students who generously gave their time to read to classes.
A special thank you to our HSA for bringing the Book Fair to life. Our students were absolutely thrilled to visit and explore the wonderful selection of books.
Looking ahead, please mark your calendars for our HSA school play, The Lion King JR. on March 19th at 7:00 pm. We are so excited to see our talented students take the stage and showcase their hard work. We hope you will join us for what is sure to be a wonderful evening.
