Note from Raul Sandoval, Principal
On Dr. King's birthday, we continue to learn from his legacy. One of the many messages in his famous “I Have a Dream” speech lives on and extends to present day with our students. The hope is that they not only learn about Dr. King and the historical accounts of the civil rights movement, but to also inspire students to dream of making a difference in the world.
During their library-media periods, I observed students discussing their hopes and dreams for the future. And although their ideas seem unattainable to us as adults (i.e. world peace, ending homelessness), I’m sure Dr. King faced similar doubts throughout his life. Nevertheless I am optimistic that our Noecker students will make a difference. As the world continues to change, we adapt, and let the values learned in school and home lead the way towards continued progress.

Recess and Outdoor Time Alert!
Just a reminder that with winter here and colder temperatures upon us, we take every effort in getting students outside for recess, weather and temperature permitting. We require students to wear long sleeves outdoors during winter as we take every effort in keeping our school population healthy. Additionally, we want to make sure that they are able to stay warm for the entirety of the time outside. If your child is not wearing long sleeves they will have to stay in or be provided the option to borrow a sweatshirt.
