April 15, 2026

Note from Raul Sandoval, Principal
I hope you all had a wonderful and restful spring break and were able to enjoy some quality time with family and friends.

This winter, Mrs. Cummings visited classrooms to introduce our GOAT lessons, helping students explore what it
means to be the “Greatest of All Time” through positive choices, character, and leadership in school. As part of this
exciting initiative, we partnered with the GOAT Clothing Company to design a sticker that represents the spirit of
Noecker School. We are proud to congratulate Adriana for creating the winning design; what a fantastic achievement!

We also have wonderful news from our music program. Five of our talented students were recognized through the
NJSMA Elementary Honors Band selection process. Congratulations to Joyce (clarinet), Sasha (clarinet), Emma (alto
sax), and Brady (trumpet) on their acceptance, and to Audrey, who was selected as an alternate. We are so proud of
their hard work and dedication.

Our second graders are also engaging in meaningful learning about community and leadership. They had the
opportunity to write letters to Mayor Spango, who will be visiting on Friday, April 17th to respond and connect
with our students.  This is always an experience that inspires thoughtful conversation.

Looking ahead, we encourage everyone to participate in SEPAC Spirit Day on Monday, April 20th by wearing gold or
yellow in recognition of Autism Awareness. Thank you for helping us celebrate inclusion and supporting the
Noecker school community.

Message from Superintendent of West Essex Regional School District

Dear School Community,

As you may be aware, the West Essex Board of Education is moving forward with a proposed bond referendum to
address critical facility needs across the district while maximizing available state aid.

To support our commitment to transparent and effective communication, we are establishing a Referendum
Communications Committee and invite interested community members to participate.

The committee will include approximately 15-20 individuals representing a range of perspectives from across our
community. Members will provide feedback on communication materials and help ensure that information shared
with the public is clear, accurate, and accessible.

Participants can expect to meet periodically between now and the referendum vote on November 3. Most meetings will
occur in the early evening, with a combination of in-person and virtual sessions. The initial meeting will be
approximately two hours in length, with subsequent meetings lasting about one hour. The total time commitment is
expected to be no more than eight hours.

If you are interested in serving on the committee, please complete the Referendum Communications Committee Interest Form

Thank you for your continued partnership and support. Please feel free to contact me at dmacioci@westex.org if you have any questions.

Sincerely,

Damion Macioci
