Good day.  Below please find a summary of the key highlights from our September Board of Education meeting:

• Dr Cleary provided the following updates
  • Welcome back to school to all students and teachers
  • Our new Superintendent Mrs. Gross attended both back to school nights to meet parents; she officially starts Oct 1
  • A calendar committee will be formed to provide guidance on future school event dates
• Ms Dacosta provided updates about school opening
  • New driver for Bus 1 is getting acclimated to the new route
  • Parents who attended back to school night received NJASK results
  • Source 4 Teachers has filled all requested substitutes to date
  • 6th grade car wash this Sat at the First Aid Squad
  • Preparations underway for upcoming week of respect is Oct 6-10
• Mr Turner reported the books have been closed for 2014 and audit process begins next week
• The Board approved:
  • G&T calendar of events
  • Family leave for Christina Melillo and Stephanie Tirado
• The next regular Board meeting is scheduled for Thursday, October 16th at 7:30pm in the Noecker Media Center.
